Emmanuelle Stéphan is a young French pianist who has won numerous prizes from international competitions and who has distinguished herself by her search for authenticity.
After his studies in New York (Juilliard School), his taste for the music of Francis Poulenc guided him to the master Gabriel Tacchino, the composer’s only student and benchmark performer.
Noted for her interpretative qualities, she has established herself alongside her teacher by forming a piano duo with him that has been heard from China to Brazil since 2015, recorded under the Warner Classics / Erato label in 2018 and obtained in 2022 the “Duo Francis Poulenc” label, awarded by the heir and holder of the rights.
Strengthened by this historical and quasi-filial recognition, Emmanuelle, at the piano solo or in duet, carries high the colors of great French piano music, not only by her fair and authentic interpretation, but also by her eloquence drawn from the many anecdotes and details. that his master Gabriel Tacchino told him about the composer.
Also focusing on the romantic repertoire, in 2020 Emmanuelle gave two recitals in Warsaw in a program dedicated to the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and continued with the filming of the report “The return of the child prodigy” for France Télévisions.
In 2021, among other events, Emmanuelle was made an honorary member of Encatc, the “European Network for Cultural Management and Policies”, and performed Beethoven’s Concerto No.5 “The Emperor” at Fort Napoleon in commemoration Napoleon’s Bicentenary.
